> STREAMING MUSEUM - Nam June Paik in Cyberspace and Public Space on Seven Continents

Cyberspace Exhibition
Presents the work of artists responding to a world increasingly influenced by technology and is relevant to some of the predictions, ideas and creative influence of pioneer video artist, Nam June Paik.
Public Space Exhibition on Seven Continents
Good Morning Mr. Orwell is a 38-minute video documenting Paik's live trans-continental extravaganza broadcast between New York and Paris and viewed on television internationally on January 1, 1984, using satellite technology. Paik created an entertaining mix of fine art and pop culture, television and electronic processing, featuring Laurie Anderson, Merce Cunningham, Peter Gabriel, Joseph Beuys, Salvador Dali, John Cage, and many others. His vision of an information superhighway and global connectivity in the 1970s has come to be realized as the Internet.
Good Morning Mr. Orwell will be screened Tuesday 29 January at 2pm and 6pm in cyberspace and on seven continents simultaneously
